At Silverado, our plans are considered affordable and provide minimum value as defined by the Affordable Care ACT OR health care reform. As a result, you are not eligible to receive a subsidy if you decide to waive your Silverado medical coverage and enroll in a plan on the health insurance marketplace.

Effective January 1, 2019 there is no longer a federal penalty for not enrolling in health insurance. However, many states, including CA, have enacted state individual mandates that carry penalties if you are not covered.
